Patricia Ann Sorokas
Patricia Ann Sorokas, 62, of Slippery Rock, formerly of Evans City and Pittsburgh, passed away unexpectedly at 11:10 p.m. Friday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born Feb. 2, 1949, in Pittsburgh to the late Joseph LeViere and Patricia Herman LeViere.
She retired June 30 of this year from the delicatessen department at the Cranberry Township Giant Eagle after 23 years of service.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and playing bingo.
She is survived by her mother, Patricia LeViere of Pittsburgh; her husband, Andrew W. Sorokas, who she married July 9, 1982; two daughters, Kimberly Sally and her husband, Kevin, of Pittsburgh and Malessa Hemphill and her husband, Andrew, of Slippery Rock; one son, Jimmy Lee Winder and his wife, Marycel, of Illinois; and 10 grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Kathy Grandstaff of Pittsburgh and Mary Ellen LeViere of Kentucky; and three brothers, Dave LeViere of North Carolina and Rich LeViere and Jack LeViere, both of Pittsburgh.
In addition to her father, she also was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph LeViere.
SOROKAS — As per the wishes of Patricia Ann Sorokas, who died Friday, Sept. 9, 2011, there will be no visitation and burial was private. A celebration of life service will be at 2 p.m. Sept. 24 at the Slippery Rock Township Building, intersection of Harmony and Branchton roads in Slippery Rock.Arrangements are being handled by the
