Longtime Butler resident Gary Minner, who recently moved to Tennessee, has written a tale about an “English” boy named Mark Lane and an Amish girl named Katie Byler.

The pair are neighbors, living less than a mile from each other, in this love story set in the mid-1960s in Western Pennsylvania.

Minner lived in Butler for 42 years and owned The Minner Co., a home improvement business. This is his first novel.

A boy enjoys eating pancakes with his family in “Peter's Perfect Pancakes,” a new book by Teresa Gaydosz of Ellwood City.In the children's book, Peter loves pancakes and believes that he has the perfect recipe, complete with butter and syrup.
