NEW YORK — Vancouver Canucks forward Jannik Hansen was suspended for one game by the NHL for hitting Chicago Blackhawks forward Marian Hossa in the back of the head with his left forearm.
The incident occurred at 1:10 of the third period during Chicago's 4-3 shootout win on Tuesday.
Hossa had to be helped off the ice after the hit.

LINCOLN, Nebraska — New England Patriots cornerback Alfonzo Dennard was convicted of assaulting a police officer in Lincoln, Neb., last year.A jury found Dennard guilty of the felony charge and a misdemeanor count of resisting arrest. He faces up to five years in prison for the assault.
