Curtis “Murt” Murtland
Curtis “Murt” Murtland, 59, of Chicora, passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, in a Pittsburgh hospital.
He was born Dec. 28, 1961, in Butler, and was the son of Lynn Stivanson and the late Darel Murtland.
Curt worked most of his career in and around the oil industry.
He enjoyed tinkering, playing his guitar, fishing, air brushing vehicles, drawing, but most of all spending time with his family and riding his Harleys.
He was known to never answer someone by saying “yes,” he always replied with his notorious “yeah man.”
He was the father of Taj Murtland and Brandon (Hannah) Murtland; brother of Kevin (Lisa) Murtland, Darin Murtland and Laurie (Mike) Richards.
He is also survived by his grandson Kyle; two nieces; three great-nieces; and a large and loving family.
He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Angela Laman.
