Shelley D. Wible Surrena, 53, went to be with the Lord on Saturday after a courageous 18-year battle with cancer.

Shelley was born Nov. 17, 1959, in Grove City to the late C. Wayne “Mickey” and Virginia D. “Ginney” Wible (Elder).

Shelley graduated from Grove City High School. She worked as a secretary for Ella Canavan Elementary School and the Medina School System for the past 10 years.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Medina and a member of Rebekah Circle. Shelley loved spending time with family and friends and always enjoyed walking her beloved dog, Rudy.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Richard; her sons, Ryan (Weilin) and Chad; granddaughter, Leah; brother, William Wible of Largo, Fla.; sisters, Carol (Mick) VanVoorhs of King of Prussia, Pa., and Shawnee (Bud) Denbow of Grove City; mother-in-law, Joann Surrena (the late Richard) of Grove City; brother-in-law, Randy Surrena of Grove City; and sisters-in-law, Rhonda Smith of Grove City and Renea (Rob) Gaus of Fombell.

SURRENA — Memorial services for Shelley D. Surrena Wible, who passed away Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29 at the United Methodist Church of Medina, 4747 Foote Road, Medina, Ohio 44256.

Friends may call from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Waite and Son Funeral Home, Medina Chapel, 765 N. Court St., Medina.
