Coats, boots, gloves wantedMARS — The Mars High School student council will have a Bundle Up Butler winter coat drive beginning Monday and continuing through Nov. 20.New and used hats, gloves, boots and coats will be accepted at the high school, 520 Route 228.The clothing will be given to students and families in need through the Center for Community Resources and Butler Collaborative for Families.

Candy collection for food bank setMARS — The Mars Primary Center, 520 Route 228, will collect unwanted Halloween candy Monday through Friday for donation to the Lighthouse Foundation food bank in Middlesex Township.Unopened candy in original wrappers will be accepted at the school office during school hours.

Hospital offering father/son classThe Education and Clinical Advancement Center at Butler Memorial Hospital will offer a father and son class from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Nixon Sarver classrooms in the tower addition on the hospital’s main campus at 1 Hospital Way.Fathers and their 10-to-13-year-old sons will discuss changes that occur during puberty.
