Mary L. Mert DiGregorio

Mary L. Mert DiGregorio, 80, of Ford City passed away Tuesday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler.

She was born March 29, 1932, in Putneyville, Pa., to the late Fred Gainor and Faye Hockenberry Gainor.

She was the wife of Ralph DiGregorio.

In her life, she gave much and asked for nothing. She was a nurse's aide at ACMH Hospital and a homemaker. She was affiliated with the St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, Cadogan, and a member of the Latin American Club.

Surviving are her husband, Ralph DiGregorio; sons, Rudy DiGregorio of Butler, Kurt DiGregorio of Butler and John DiGregorio (Janet) of Lisbon Falls, Maine; daughters, Yolanda Cypher (Gary) of Fenelton, Roseann Benigni of Brunswick, Maine, and Alecia May (Kelly) of Alpharetta, Ga.; brother, Richard Gainor of Dayton, Ohio; sisters, Mabel Pore (Gerald) of Ford City and Joanne Golgan of Tarentum; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Earl “Jack” Gainor, Patrick Gainor and Fred Gainor; sisters, Anna Kathryn Twombly and Geraldine Acerni; and one grandson, Derek DiGregorio.

DIGREGORIO — Visitation for Mary L. Mert DiGregorio, who passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2012, will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Mantini Funeral Home, 701 Sixth Ave., Ford City.A blessing service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. at the St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, Cadogan. The Rev. Bryan F. Summers will officiate. The interment will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to VNA Inpatient Hospice, 115 Technology Drive, Butler, PA 16001.
