Zackary Shane Shannon
Zackary Shane Shannon, 24, died peacefully Monday at his home following a lifelong battle with Cystic Fibrosis.
He was born March 17, 1989, in Butler to Donna Lynn (Karan) Crispin.
A motorcycle enthusiast, he loved to build and ride bikes. He was an artist and craftsman, and his specialty was metal works and pin striping. Zack played guitar and enjoyed family vacations to the beach. He attended the North Main Street Church of God. Zack graduated from Butler High School and Butler Vo-Tech's Auto Tech program in 2007.
He was employed as a machinist at Hoffman Auto.
He married Elizabeth Wilson Shannon on May 29, 2010, and they made their home in Cabot with their two beloved dogs and foster puppy.
In addition to his wife, Elizabeth, Zack is survived by his parents, Charles (Chucky) and Donna Lynn (Karan) Crispin; his in-laws, David and Denise Wilson; his siblings through marriage, Benjamin Wilson (Samantha Feil), Victoria and Benjamin Barger and Abigail Wilson, all of Butler; his grandparents, Charles and Grace Crispin of East Butler and Grace Richards of Montgomery, Ala. He was particularly close to aunts and uncles, Terry and Lana (Karan) Clark of Butler and Todd and Carla (Crispin) Zarnick of Inwood, W.Va. Also surviving are his biological father, Steve Shannon; and his half siblings, Maggie, Megan, John and Dylan Shannon; his niece, Makayla Monn; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Peter and Donna M. Karan and John Shannon.
SHANNON — Instead of public visitation for Zackary Shane Shannon, who died Monday, March 18, 2013, a memorial service will be at noon Thursday at the North Main Street Church of God, 1201 N. Main St. Extension, Butler, with the Rev. Brandon Lenhart and the Rev. Matt Reitz, officiating.Arrangements are being handled by the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler, PA 16001.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Great Strides Walk in Zack's team name, Shannon's Shenanigans.
