Yori

Zelda Belle (Rankin) Yori, 87, of Butler passed away Monday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler.

Born on Feb. 4, 1927, in Rimersburg, she was a daughter of the late Jesse Dale and Stella Mae Wensel Rankin.

She was employed at Violas Market in Evans City as a cashier for 35 years. She enjoyed playing bingo.

Surviving are her two daughters, Carolyn Mae Tremé (Frank Zbuckvich) of East Butler, and Vicki Sue Stevick (Charles Stevick) of Butler; her two sons, Clarence Dale Yori (Linda Spryn) of Panama City, Fla., and Larry Albert Yori (Kennon Esther) of Frisco, Texas; her 14 grandchildren; her nine great-grandchildren; her one great-great-grandchild; and her numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving are her brother, Thomas Dean Rankin of Clarion, and her two sisters, Delores Beverly Priester of Sligo and Judith Valjean (Jerry) Dean of Rimersburg.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Clarence Yori, who she married on June 12, 1947, and who passed away on Sept. 4, 1984; her granddaughter, Patricia Marie Yori; her three sisters, Dorethea, Shirley and Donna; her three brothers, Jack, Richard and Donald; and her three brothers-in-law, John, Durward and Dean.

Yori — The friends of Zelda Belle (Rankin) Yori, who passed away Monday, June 23, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday at theGeibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Pastor Cecil Craig officiating.
