David I. “Cow” Covert
David I. “Cow” Covert, 69, formerly of Evans City passed away peacefully on Fridaywhile under the care of the Grove at Harmony.
Born June 3, 1948, in New Castle, he was the son of the late Leland P. Covert and Sylvia Stevick.
David was Baptist by faith.
He was a 1966 graduate of Seneca Valley High School.
David was a self-employed concrete contractor.He worked hard, played hard and partied hard.David will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
David leaves behind to cherish his memory his three daughters to whom he was a proud father, Erin (Roberto) Santiago ofClayton, N.C., Emily (Larry) Benek of Lafayette Hill, Pa., and Abby (Eric) Offner of Shamong, N.J.; his companion, Pam Portman; Pam's son, T.J. Portman; his five grandchildren, Adriana, Cadence, Jack, Cora and Mackenzie; his sister, Geraldine (Ronald) Thompson; and his nieces and nephews, Ronald, Bryan, James, Richard, Becky and Mildred.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his companion's daughter, Jackie Lynn Portman.
