Kathy Christine Goda, 58, of Butler passed away Friday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after an extended illness.

She was born Nov. 13, 1953, in New Eagle, Washington County, to the late Ethel C. (Blinn) Walrond and George G. Walrond.

Kathy was primarily a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, cross stitching, sewing, reading mystery novels and looking after a succession of Labrador retrievers. She was a member of the Hill United Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Gregory M. Goda; two sisters, Patricia Summers and her husband, Jack, of Sun City Center, Fla., and Marjorie Klostermayer of Kansas City, Mo.; a brother, Joseph Walrond and his wife, Lynn, of New Brighton; and four nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents.

GODA — There will be no public visitation or services for Kathy Christine Goda, who passed away Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, as she arranged to donate her body to the Humanity Gifts Registry of Pennsylvania.
