Thomas M. Belcher
Thomas M. Belcher of Pine Township, Grove City, a resident of the area since 1982 and formerly of Indianapolis, Ind., passed away unexpectedly Tuesday morning at Grove City Medical Center. He was 71.
Thomas was born in Indianapolis, Ind., Nov. 4, 1943, to the late Guy and Helen Belcher. Tom married Shirley M. Craig June 17, 1978; she survives at home.
Tom was a truck driver throughout his life. He was a member of the Teamsters union and drove for more than 40 years. He retired Feb. 2, 2011, the day his wife became ill from a stroke. He devoted the rest of his life to care for her and he was proud and happy to do that for her and their family.
He was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed the Pittsburgh Steelers and NASCAR. Tom enjoyed his constant companionship with his cats, Barron, Cam, Katie and Tickles.
Tom is survived by his wife, Shirley, at home; four sons, Brad Belcher and Brian Belcher, both of Indiana, David Duffy and his wife, Mary, of Harrisville and Keith Duffy and his wife, Missy, of Cross Lanes, W.Va.; his daughters, Kim Hoffman and her husband, Ray, of Mercer, Anita Gaston and her husband, Bill, of Erie, and Marsha Glenn and Ricky Cameron of Mercer; 16 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Richard Belcher and his wife, Shirley, of Indianapolis, Ind.; and many nieces and nephews also survive.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Carolyn Collins; and one brother, Robert Belcher.
BELCHER — Visitation for Thomas M. Belcher, who died Tuesday, April 7, 2015, will be at Cunningham Funeral Home, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City on Thursday from 3 p.m. till the time of service at 5 p.m. with the Rev. Michael Allison officiating.
