Patricia Ann Nelson
Patricia Ann Nelson of Slippery Rock passed away on Sunday after a short illness at Butler Memorial Hospital at 81 years of age.
She was born June 25, 1937, in Pittsburgh, and was the daughter of the late Barney and Ann (Zalis) Nelson.
Patricia was an entrepreneur and had owned and operated the Econ-O-Cleaners in Grove City, for over 25 years. She also owned and operated J & P Farms with her partner, John Steiner, for nearly 15 years.
She was a member of St. Peters Church in Slippery Rock.
Throughout her life, she enjoyed gardening, fishing, sewing, scrapbooking, card club and going to church. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Patricia is survived by her two daughters, Diane Y. Smith of Slippery Rock, and Lynn A. (David) Heichel of Marquette, Mich.; her two sons, Donald K. (Kim) Hunt and Robert E. Hunt, both of Slippery Rock; her sister, Janet L. Setterberg of Pittsburgh; one nephew; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her former spouse, Melvin Hunt.
NELSON — Visitation for Patricia Ann Nelson, who died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2018, will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Smith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 670 S. Main St., Slippery Rock, with the Rev. Adam M. Verona as celebrant.She will be interred at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Harrisville.
