Kalla

John R. Kalla, 68, of Zelienople, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2022, while under the care of Wexford Health Pavilion.

Born April 11, 1954, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late John and Rita Best Kalla.

John was a real people person and loved to be surrounded by others. He enjoyed all the Pittsburgh sports teams; Penguins, Pirates and the Steelers. In his free time, he enjoyed building puzzles, meeting new people and talking with others. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

John leaves behind to cherish his memory his brothers, Stephen (Valerie) Kalla and Michael Kalla; and his nieces and nephews, Melissa (Eric) Czapko, Jessica (Ryan) Dalton, Michael Kalla, John Kalla and Rita Kalla.

KALLA — Friends of John R. Kalla, who died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2022, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.

A committal service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery, 204 Cemetery Lane, Pittsburgh. Everyone is asked to please meet at the cemetery mausoleum.
