Robert “Bob” Greenberger

Robert “Bob” Greenberger, 79, of Penn Township passed away at 6:05 p.m. Thursday at his home.

He was born Oct. 20, 1936, in Sharon, Pa., to the late Harry Greenberger and Perle (Hammerman) Greenberger.

Robert was a member of the Congregation B'nai Abraham. He graduated from Sharon High School then went on to Kent State University, where he received his master's degree in political science.

Robert was president of Harry Products (Trader Horn). He enjoyed reading historical biographies, writing poetry, watching the Steelers and enjoying his children and especially his granddaughter.

He is survived by his wife, Judy M. Greenberger, who he married Oct. 9, 1962; one son, Harry Greenberger and his girlfriend, Dolly Faibyshev, of New York City; one daughter, Leah Greenberger, DVM, of Belchertown, Mass.; one granddaughter, Grace Katherine Greenberger of Belchertown, Mass.; one brother, George Greenberger and his wife, Suzanne Cawley, of Pittsburgh; one sister, Hannah Sharapan and her husband, Allan, of Hermitage; six nieces; and two nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joel Greenberger.

GREENBERGER— Friends of Robert “Bob” Greenberger, who died Thursday, March 17, 2016, will be received from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 11 to 12:30 p.m. Sunday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Private burial will take place at the B'nai Abraham Cemetery with Cantor Michal Gray-Schaffer of the Congregation B'nai Abraham officiating.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Community Health Clinic of Butler County, 103 Bonnie Drive, Butler, PA 16002.Online condolences can be given at www.thompson-miller.com.
