BC3 volleyball wins Region XX

ARNOLD, Md. — The unbeaten and fifth-ranked Butler County Community College women’s volleyball team won the Region XX championship Saturday in Maryland.

The Pioneers (15-0) defeated Anne Arundel CC 25-10, 25-21, 25-19 in the finals after sweeping Howard CC 25-9, 25-10, 25-16 in the semifinal round.

Breanna Reisinger had 14 kills, Morgan Jack 32 assists and Lainey Tobolewski 20 digs for BC3. Reisinger was named the tourney MVP while Jack, Tobolewski and Aslyn Pry made the all-tournament team.

BC3 will host the three-team NJCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Tournament Saturday and Sunday. Sandhills CC of Pinehurst, N.C., and two-time defending national champion Owens CC of Perrysburg, Ohio, will also be in the tourney.
