Margaret Yurkovich, 90, of Butler, passed away Friday, Oct. 7, 2022, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot.

Born Oct. 20, 1931, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Nick and Anna (Vanish) Lukon.

She was retired from the Butler Area School District food service department.

She was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Conrad Roman Catholic Church.

Margaret enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and sports. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Margaret was known as a very giving person.

Surviving is her son, George Yurkovich, of Lyndora; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Frank R. Yurkovich, whom she married Feb. 18, 1950, and who passed away Sept. 5, 2005; her son, Frank Yurkovich; her daughter, Sylvia McElroy; three brothers; and two sisters.

YUKOVICH — Friends of Margaret Yurkovich, who died Friday, Oct. 7, 2022, will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 East Cunningham St., Butler.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Conrad Roman Catholic Church, 125 Buttercup Road, Butler.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Butler. Please meet at the church Wednesday.
