MaryAnn McGuirk Zeigler
MaryAnn McGuirk Zeigler, 84, of Butler passed away on Sept. 24, 2012, in Naples, Fla.
She was born Aug. 25, 1928, in Butler to the late Harry E. McGuirk and Iva K. Allison McGuirk.
Mrs. Zeigler worked as an executive secretary for Pullman Standard. She was the organist at the former Grace Lutheran Church, Butler, co-organist at the First English Lutheran Church, and was a staff organist at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home.
Mrs. Zeigler was involved in many civic organizations including the Pittsburgh chapter of the American Guild of Organists, the Butler County Genealogical Society, the Butler County Historical Society, the Butler Hospital Auxiliary, the Buttercup Garden Club of Meridian, the General Richard Butler Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution, the Friends of the Butler Area Public Library, the Maqueda Chapter of Order of Eastern Star and the Women's Club of Butler.
Mrs. Zeigler is survived by one daughter, Dr. Martha (Paul D) Eberhardt of Wexford; one brother, Robert (Margaret) McGuirk of Butler; three nieces, Mrs. Kathy (Tim) Philabaum of Perrysburg, Ohio, Dr. Margie (Dan) Vogt of Delaware, Ohio, and Mrs. Beth (Gary) Gazica of West View, Pa.; one nephew, John T. McGuirk of San Francisco, Calif.; and her companion, Robert R. Heaton of Butler and his daughter, Leanne.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William P. Zeigler.
ZEIGLER — A memorial service for MaryAnn McGuirk Zeigler, who passed away Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, with an organ recital beginning at 1 p.m. at the First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., Butler, with the Rev. James Dollhopf, pastor of the church; Dr. Tim Philabaum, nephew of the deceased; and the Rev. Dr. James Swanson, officiating.Private inurnment will be in the North Side Cemetery.Arrangements are being handled by the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E.
