Martha B. Noble

Martha B. Noble, 89, of Butler passed away at 8:35 p.m. Sunday at New Haven Court.

She was born Nov. 28, 1923, in Butler to the late Luther M. Bush and Hulda Anthony Bush.

Mrs. Noble was a homemaker. She was a member of the Hill United Presbyterian Church, where she was the church organist for 20 years. Mrs. Noble worked as a secretary with the Butler School District for eight years. She served on the Butler School Board for three terms from 1979 through 1991. She was the piano accompanist for the Meridian Community Choir, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, AARP, the Order of the Eastern Star and the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees.

Mrs. Noble is survived by two sons, the Rev. David C. Noble (Karen) of New York and John A. Noble (Susan) of Midland, Mich.; and four grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, C. Kenneth Noble, who she married on April 18, 1953, and who passed away on July 13, 1983; two sisters; and a brother.

NOBLE — Friends of Martha B. Noble, who passed away Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Clark Sawyer of the Hill United Presbyterian Church officiating.
