Charles D. Blair
Charles D. “Butch” Blair, 65, of Petrolia passed away at 9:10 a.m. Friday at the Butler Inpatient VNA Hospice following a battle with cancer.
He was born April 7, 1947, in Elk Township, Clarion County. He was the son of the late Paul C. Blair and the late Betty J. Botts Blair. He retired as a heavy equipment operator from Quality Aggregates Inc. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed going to the casino and playing bingo.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Claypoole Blair; two daughters, Robin Helton and Lisa Blair, both of Oklahoma; one son, Kevin J. Blair of Petrolia; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Ken (Marge) Mahle of Parker, Mrs. Bruce (Louise) Cunningham of Parker and Mrs. Jeff (Ginger) Jackson of Bradford.
He was preceded in death by one grandson.
BLAIR — Friends of Charles D. “Butch” Blair, who died Friday, June 8, 2012, will be received at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Robert V. Mathias, a retired Presbyterian minister, officiating.Burial will be in the West Sunbury Union Cemetery.
