Ruth Kienzle, a lifelong resident of Butler, passed away on Oct. 2, 2022, at the age of 97.

She was born in Butler on July 2, 1925, and was the daughter of the late Andrew and Melba Schmeider.

She was married for 50 years to Harold Kienzle, who passed away in 1996.

She worked briefly for the Bantam Car Company, and retired from the Butler Florist.

She was a faithful member of All Saints Parish, St. Conrad Roman Catholic Church, and a lifetime member of the Christian Mothers.

She loved her home, and spending time with her family, cooking large dinners well into her eighties. Card playing was her lifetime enjoyment with family and friends, and she loved her monthly card club.

She is survived by a daughter, Donna, and her husband, Mick Musulin; a son, Richard, and his wife, Pam; three grandchildren, Lisa and her husband, Avner Mizrahi, and their three children, Shai, Miles and Darrah; Mike and his wife, Kassi, and their two children, Easton and Lilianna; and Jenny and her husband, Scott Dittmer, and their two children, Kaelin and Kensi; many nieces and nephews and their children; and many friends.

In addition to her husband, Harold, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Schmeider; and her sister, Dorothy Schmeider Kradel.

Ruth was the last to depart of her brothers and sisters and their spouses, and her husband’s 15 brothers and sisters and their spouses.

She will be greatly missed by everyone.

KIENZLE — Friends of Ruth Kienzle, who died Sunday, Oct. 2, 2022, will be received from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Conrad Roman Catholic Church, 125 Buttercup Road, Meridian. Everyone is asked to please meet at the church Friday morning.

Burial will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
