William R. Salego
William R. Salego, 72, of Tarentum passed away Saturday at his home.
Born Jan. 17, 1938, in New Kensington, he was the son of Peter J. and Ethel Yetter Salego.
He served in the U.S. Navy.
He was a quality control inspector for Glenshaw Glass, retiring in 1995 after 33 years.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing, watching local sports and spending time with his family.
Surviving are two sons, Robert (Becky) Salego of Russell, N.Y., and William Scholl of Butler; a daughter, Donna (Ken) Erb of Tarentum; two brothers, James (Linda) Salego of Oxford, Mich., and Donald Salego of Lower Burrell; three sisters, Lorene Salego of Lower Burrell, Norma A. Salego of Lower Burrell and Shirley (Milton) Corwin of Lower Burrell; six grandchildren, Matthew Brewer, Sarah (Jason) Wright, Peter Salego, Ryan Brewer, Jonathan Scholl and Kevin Erb; and a great-grandson, Gage Salego.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Nething Salego, on April 8, 2002; a brother, Richard Salego; and a sister, Helen Beattie.
<B>SALEGO</B> — Friends of William R. Salego, who died Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, Saxonburg. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Luke's Church in Saxonburg with the Rev. Roger Keller officiating.
