Helen M. Robb Franz, 86, of Zelienople passed away with her family by her side Tuesday at Passavant Retirement Community.

Born Jan. 13, 1926, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Raymond and Irene (Earley) Robb.

Helen was a member of English Lutheran Church in Zelienople and was an avid reader. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her three sons, William A. Franz Jr. and his wife, Barbara, of Ohio, Robert E. Franz and his wife, Susan, of Harmony and Thomas R. Franz of Portersville; her daughter, Susan Gold of Marshall Township; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her sister, Patsy Graham of Ligonier; her brother, Edgar Robb and his wife, Gretchen, of Virginia; her daughter-in-law, Cathe Franz of Zelienople; and extended family, David Scholl and his wife, Dolly, of Carlisle, Pa.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William A. Franz Sr., who died May 29, 1995; and her cherished son, David L. Franz, who died Oct. 11, 2011.

FRANZ — Helen M. Robb Franz passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2012. Helen's family will welcome friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. until the time of funeral services at noon Saturday at Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.She will be laid to rest at English Lutheran Church Cemetery in Zelienople.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her honor to the Building Fund for Teutonia Mannerchor, 857 Phineas St., Pittsburgh, PA 15212, or a charity of the donor's choice.
