Rork Ramfos

Rork Christopher Ramfos, 48, of Harmony passed away Saturday at the Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley Medical Center in Beaver.

Born June 27, 1967, in Franklin, he was the son of Leo Ramfos of Franklin, and the late Karen (Baker) Ramfos.

Rork graduated from Franklin High School in 1986. He received his bachelor's degree in political science from Grove City College in 1990, and he worked as a commercial banker for AmeriServ Financial.

Rork enjoyed fishing, archery and playing sports, especially with his children. Above all, he treasured the time he spent with his family and always supported his children in their endeavors, especially football, baseball and cheerleading. He was much loved by many, strong-willed and was an amazing husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He will be greatly missed by all.

In addition to his father, he leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Renee Ramfos, who he married April 9, 1994; his children, Zachary and Ashley Ramfos; his brother, Ryan and his wife, Tricia, Ramfos of Franklin; his mother and father-in-law, Joe and Diane Wachstetter; his sister-in-law, Suzanne Wachstetter; his brother-in-law, Stephen, and his wife, Lorraine Wachstetter; and his nieces and nephews, Izzy, Emilee and Tyler Ramfos, Grace Wachstetter and Logan Bailie.

In addition to his mother, Rork was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, George and Fanny Ramfos, and his maternal grandparents, Jim and Louise Baker.

RAMFOS — The family of Rork Christopher Ramfos, who died Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015, will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Harmony-Zelienople United Methodist Church, 123 N. Pittsburgh St., Zelienople.Additional visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral ceremony at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church with the Rev. Dan Owen officiating.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Rork's honor to the Christian Sports International, P.O. Box 254, Zelienople, PA 16063 or to the Colon Cancer Alliance, 1025 Vermont Ave, NW, Suite 1066, Washington, D.C. 20005.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.
