HARMONY — Taste of Harmony, a cookbook published by the Harmony Business Association, is now for sale.

The book is available at the Bottlebrush Gallery, Fox's Pizza Den, The Exchange in Harmony, The Emporium, Harmony Museum Shop, The Salon by Marian Davis and Suzie's Corner.

MERIDIAN — A program entitled “Giving Thanks to Our Veterans” will be held at 7 p.m. Nov. 21 at St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church, 125 Buttercup Road.The event is sponsored by the Meridian Vets Club and will feature the Butler High School Junior ROTC Color Guard and Sam Zurzolo, Butler County Veteran of the Year.

Students from Allegheny and Butler counties may submit entries now through Jan. 7 for the Regional Scholastic Art Awards in categories including film and animation, digital art, architecture, printmaking, fashion design and photography. SLIPPERY ROCK — Guided hikes will be held at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and noon Nov. 27 starting and ending at the Old Stone House.The hikes commemorate George Washington’s travels through Butler County in 1753.To reserve a hiking slot, call Jennifer Melnick at Slippery Rock University, 724-738-4964.
