Ronald E. Morrison, 84, of Cabot, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Ron was born on July 30, 1938, and was the son of the late John A. and Virginia A. Morrison of Cheswick.

Ron graduated from Springdale High School.

Following a career with General Electric in its overseas military division, Ron earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Duquesne University. He then joined the U.S. Postal Service as a mail flow controller at the Bulk Mail Center in Warrendale, until he retired in 2007.

Ron enjoyed ballroom dancing, western-style square dancing, traveling and going on cruises with his wife, Peggy.

He was an active member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, where he served on the church council, finance committee and previously with the music and worship committee.

Ron is survived by his wife, Margaret R. “Peggy” (Elliott) Morrison, whom he married on Aug. 20, 1988.

He is also survived by his daughter, Jennifer Morrison of Youngwood, Pa.; and his sister, Colleen M. Cook of Saxonburg.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Darlene (Reider) Morrison.

MORRISON — A funeral service for Ronald E. Morrison, who died Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Butler.

A private burial will take place at Gruenwald Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Butler.
