Evelyn “Toots” Irene Klein, 97, of Sharpsville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2022, at UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Evelyn was born Nov. 7, 1924, in Sharpsville, to Agnes (Cornthwaite) and William Earl Alexander.

She graduated from Sharpsville High School, Class of 1942.

Evelyn worked as an LPN for Sharon Regional Hospital.

On Nov. 12, 1943, she married her husband, Jacob Klein, who passed away on Oct. 14, 1999.

Evelyn is survived by her daughters, Pamela L. (David R.) Finney of Saxonburg and Sandra L. (Robert L. Jr.) Ridgway of Sharpsville.

She also leaves behind her beloved cat, Bushy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jacob; her sisters, Alberta Carr and Stella Osbourne; and her brother, William Alexander.

KLEIN — Friends of Evelyn “Toots” Irene Klein, who died Thursday, Sept. 29, 2022, may call from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church of Sharon, 237 W. Silver St., Sharon.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. Kelley Schanely officiating.

Burial will take place next to her husband in Riverside Cemetery.
