Barbara Ann Burke, 73, of Butler, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2022.

She was born on Oct. 8, 1948, and was the daughter of the late Edward Sr. and Lillian (Ready) Burke of Pittsburgh.

Barbara attended Mars High School, then went on to further her education at Slippery Rock University and Butler County Community College.

She loved her teaching career and worked at two of the best special needs schools in the area.

Barbara loved spending time with her cat, collecting stamps, and dabbled in photography. She enjoyed shooting pool, and was also a member of the Firearms Bowling League.

Barbara is survived by her close friend, Donald “Butch” Stabley; and her older sister, Nancy.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Burke; and her brother, Edward “Butch” Burke.

She was loved and will be missed.
