Carl Slaugenhoup
Carl P. “Phil” Slaugenhoup, 84, of Parker, passed away Friday evening, Nov. 12, 2021, at Butler Memorial Hospital following an illness.
Born Sept. 24, 1937, in Sligo, Pa., he was son of the late James R. and Harriet Thomas Slaugenhoup.
He was married to the former Norma Fleming on April 8, 1960, and she survives.
“Phil” was employed by former Penn-Drake (now Calumet-Penreco) of Karns City as a truck (tanker) driver, retiring in the early nineties with over 30 years of service.
He enjoyed lawn mower repairing from buckets of parts to complete tuneup repair.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Brenda (Todd) Courson of Parker, and Lori Cooper of Foxburg; grandchildren, Cody Cooper, Allie Courson and Emily Courson; great-grandson, Carter Shook; one brother, William E. (Mary) Slaugenhoup of Parker, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Miriam Kuhns; and his brothers, Frank, James M. and Ken Slaugenhoup.
Slaugenhoup — A private family visitation and funeral service for Carl P. “Phil” Slaugenhoup, who died Friday, Nov. 12, 2021, was held Monday at Buzard Funeral Home in Parker, and he was laid to rest later on Monday at Cedarview Memorial Park in Strattenville.
