BC3 golf team stays undefeated

BUTLER TWP — Troy Loughry earned medalist honors with a 69 Monday as the Butler County Community College golf team defeated Westmoreland CCC, 310-340.

Liam Kosior shot a 76 for the Pioneers while Knoch graduate Cory Voltz shot an 82 and Freeport’s Jack Mason an 83. Now 11-0 on the season, BC3 will compete in the WPCC Tournament Friday and Saturday at The Links at Spring Church.

SRU’s Hart grabs cross country honor

SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University sophomore Troy Hart has been named PSAC Male Cross Country Athlete of the Week.

Hart was the highest finisher from the Atlantic Region at the Lock Haven Invitational, placing 16th with a time of 24 minutes, 58 seconds. He led SRU to a fifth-place finish in the field of 35 teams.
