Butler grad Patterson Runner of Week

GREENVILLE — Butler graduate Tim Patterson, a junior cross country runner for Saint Vincent College, has been named Presidents’ Athletic Conference Runner of the Week.

Patterson earned his third-such honor this season, shattering a 10-year-old Saint Vincent team record by running the Lock Haven Invitational in 24 minutes, 48 seconds. He placed 10th overall out of 290 runners, first among Division III competitors.

Thimons picks up PAC football honor

GREENVILLE — North Catholic graduate and Valencia resident Jaren Thimons has been named Presidents’ Athletic Conference Football Defensive Player of the Week.

The Washington & Jefferson defensive end tallied six tackles, 2.5 quarterback sacks and recovered a fumble in the Presidents’ 50-7 win over Bethany.
