James D. Wilson
James D. Wilson, 86, of Middlesex Township, Valencia, died Saturday evening at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.
Born March 10, 1931, and raised on the Wilson family farm in Middlesex Township, he a son of the late John F. and Martha Park Wilson.
Jim was a 1949 graduate of Mars High School. He was a full-time farmer, milking cows until 1996 and continued farming until his health slowed him down. He was a member of the Butler County Farm Bureau.
Jim also worked in the produce department of Giant Eagle in Gibsonia.
He was a member of Valencia Presbyterian Church and Valencia Historical Society.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth H. McCracken Wilson, who he married Sept. 7, 1974; four daughters, Amy Lynn (Chuck) Andler of Renfrew, Donna Lee Wilson of Valencia, Julie Diane (Austin) Whiting of Edinburg and Melissa Sue (Justin) Miller of Valencia; his son, Mark S. Wilson of Valencia; his grandchildren, Caitlin, Bryan and Nicole Andler, Mitchell, Madeline, Meadow, Morgan, Maelee, Maverick and Marshall Whiting and Alivia and Charlotte Miller.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Ann Wilson; his sister, Mary Catherine Scott; and one infant brother, John.
WILSON — Friends of James D. Wilson, who died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Valencia Presbyterian Church, 80 Sterrett St. Valencia, with the Rev. James Kirk officiating. Please meet at the church.
