Two suspected assailants allegedly double-teamed another man, leaving the victim with a black eye, Butler police said.

The defendants — Joshua M. McBride, 27, who has no known address, and Ryan Z. Wilson, 27, of Butler — are accused of trying to force their way into the man's home on Hansen Avenue after attacking him Sunday evening.

District Judge William Fullerton on Wednesday signed arrest warrants for both McBride and Wilson. They are charged with felony counts of trespass and conspiracy and misdemeanor assault.

The 30-year-old victim and his girlfriend told police that the defendants showed up at their home shortly before 5 p.m. Sunday, according to court documents. The man stepped out to speak with them.

McBride apparently grew angry over missing money, about which the man said he knew nothing, police said.Wilson allegedly sucker punched the man, hitting him in the face. The victim recounted that Wilson placed him in a chokehold and took him to the ground.“(McBride) proceeded to punch (the man) in the face, while (Wilson) kept him immobilized, documents said.At some point, the victim was able to get away and re-enter his home. But, police said, McBride pushed his way through the door with Wilson behind him.Police said the man, aided by his girlfriend, in turn, managed to push the defendants back out before closing and locking the door.Officers described the victim's injuries as a swollen, discolored left eye and a swollen and bruised face.
