Kenneth “Moose” W. McKinney
Kenneth “Moose” W. McKinney, 78, of Mars died unexpectedly Monday evening at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born Dec. 28, 1938, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Harold and Dorothy Councilman Mc-Kinney.
Moose was an inspector for Equitable Gas, where he had worked for 51 Years.
He was a member of St. Kilian Church, a social member of Mars VFW Post 7505, and he also belonged to the “It's All About the Warrior Foundation.”
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth “Liz” Mill Mc-Kinney, who he married Feb. 3, 1968; his children, Allyson (Merrell) Ashley of Annandale, Va., and Todd (Kristy) McKinney of Mars; his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Adam, Ian and Chase; his sisters, Barbara and Bonnie; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Edward.
MCKINNEY — Friends of Kenneth W. “Moose” McKinney, who died Monday, Feb. 6, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Kilian Church, 7076 Franklin Road, Cranberry Township, with the Rev. Charles Bober, pastor, officiating. Please meet at the church.
