Judith Ann Kennedy Nowakowski

Judith Ann Kennedy Nowakowski

Judith Ann Kennedy Nowakowski, 78, of Butler died Monday evening at VNA Inpatient Hospice with her family at her side.

Born March 8, 1939, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Pressley William Kennedy and Thelma Beryl Brown Kennedy.

She was a seamstress at Harts Department Store and was a nursing assistant at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She enjoyed traveling and sewing and was a food connoisseur.

Her family had the honor and privilege to have Judith Ann Nowakowski as a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was loving, strong, hardworking, selfless, giving and always there for everyone of us. She was the matriarch of her family. God blessed us over the years with trips to the beach, lake house, Easter egg hunts and holiday festivities. She was front row in attending all of her children's and grandchildren's activities. She adored and loved her seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She put the spark and light in all of our hearts and went above and beyond to be the best wife, mother and grandmother.

She was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

Surviving are her three children, James Glenn (Trena Raub) Nowakowski, Kimberly Diane (Robert Dellen) Johnston and Pamela Sue (Ronald) McKinney; her seven grandchildren, Jonathan Nowakowski, Chelsea Johnston, Shelby Johnston, Joshua Johnston, Alyssa McKinney (Caleb) Dodd, Ashley McKinney Stirling and Samantha McKinney, her two great-grandchildren, Brody Kohyn Stirling and Rhys Julian Stirling; and her siblings, Karen (Darryl) Nowakowski and Jean Kennedy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Lee Nowakowski; and her brother, Robert Kennedy.
