Pennsylvania American Water plans $1.3 million project
Pennsylvania American Water is beginning a $1.3-million project to install a 6,800 feet of new main water line in Butler Township on Monday.
Contractors will start installing the new main line along Meridian Road, between Whitestown and Sawmill Run roads, at 7:30 a.m., the company said. Contractors will be working from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Final street restoration will be completed in the spring.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane in the project area, and motorists are encouraged to find alternative routes and avoid the construction area during project hours.
During construction, customers might experience temporary service interruptions, discolored water, and lower-than normal-water pressure.
