Paul Fleming

Paul R. Flemming, 87, of Douglassville, Pa., formerly of Grove City, passed away at 2 a.m. Tuesday at Keystone Villa at Douglassville, following a one year illness.

He was born in Oakland Township on Aug. 5, 1925. He was the son of Ross R. Flemming and Esther W. Wilson Flemming.

He was married to Jeanne S. Seaton on April 8, 1950, and she died Nov. 13, 1992.

Paul retired in 1986 from the Grove City School District where he was an industrial arts teacher for 31 years. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Grove City.

He served in the U.S. Air Force in World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of American Legion Post 220. Paul belonged to various educational organizations.

Surviving are two children, David P. Flemming and his wife, Diane M., of Loganville, Ga., and Robert E. Flemming and his wife, Susan M., of Douglasville, Pa.; two grandchildren, Lt. Daniel R. Flemming and his wife, Jenny, Newport, R.I. and Peter D. Flemming and his wife, Shelley, of Hendersonville, R.I.; one sister, Jane Bortmas, of West Sunbury; and one brother, Donald Fleming, of West Sunbury.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sisters, Ruth Biekert and Marie Fleming; and three brothers, Ralph Fleming, Victor Flemming and Dale Fleming.

FLEMMING — Friends of Paul R. Flemming, who passed away Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, will be received from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Cunningham Funeral Home, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.A funeral service will take place at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Willard Morse, visitation pastor of the Grace United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will take place at Crestview Memorial Park, Grove City.Donations in his name can be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Road, Lilburn, GA, 30047.
