Cranberry man charged in child indecent assault case

A Cranberry Township man has been accused of indecently assaulting an 8-year-old girl on multiple occasions, according to charges filed last week.

Joshua D. Ice, 47, was charged with felonies indecent deviate sexual intercourse and corruption of minors by the Cranberry Township police.

Ice was arraigned Sept. 15 by District Judge Kevin Flaherty and is free on unsecured bond of $25,000.

According to police, a report was received in August from Butler County Child Advocacy Center that a girl had been touched inappropriately by Ice.

The girl told police that Ice would touch her inappropriately with baby wipes.

“This has occurred on a frequent basis since (the girl) was 3 years of age and occurred most recently in June of 2022,” the investigating officer said.

During one of the assaults, Ice’s actions resulted in injury.

Ice is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing Oct. 7 before Flaherty.
