Marylin Jean (Dodds) Kim

Marylin Jean (Dodds) Kim, 86, of Butler passed away Monday at her home.

She was born May 5, 1930, in Butler to the late John Elmer Dodds and the late Mary Alberta (Fry) Dodds.

Marylin was a former member of the Cavalry United Presbyterian Church and most recently attended Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church in Butler.

She was a 1948 graduate of Butler High School.

Marylin was employed by Keystone Pipe Supply, Western Auto, the Pullman-Standard Car Co., John R. Ellison and Sons, and MSA, before retiring in 1992.

She enjoyed drawing, dancing, music and spending time with her family.

She is survived by one son, James J. Kim and his wife, Lynnie, of Butler; one daughter, Marcey L. Kim of Butler; two grandsons, Paul Bair and David Howell; one granddaughter, Jackie Nageotte; six great-grandchildren, Austin, Tevin, David, Marcus, Taylore and Aaron; one niece, Kim Bollinger; one nephew, Richard Bollinger; one great-nephew, Richard K. Bollinger; and one great-niece, Stephanie Bollinger.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Herbert Kim, who she married Oct. 13, 1951, and who passed away Sept. 1, 2012.

KIM — Friends of Marylin Jean (Dodds) Kim, who died Monday, Aug. 15, 2016, will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will immediately follow at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Mary Kitchen officiating.Burial will take place at the Butler County Memorial Park.Memorials are suggested to the Disabled American Veterans, P.O.
