Ball drop comes early in Harmony
Onlookers cheered a ball drop at 6 p.m. Friday in the center of Harmony during its Silvester New Year's Eve celebration of German New Year.
Residents and visitors got a jump on 2022 Friday evening lining the streets of Harmony for the return of the town's Silvester New Year's Eve, the annual celebration of German New Year. The event featured a ball drop at 6 p.m. (midnight in Germany) in the center of town, along with a Christmas Tree toss competition and a 5K earlier in the evening.The event is named in honor of the 4th Century pope under whom the Romans adopted Christianity as their official religion.
