SV grad Blagg gets another honorERIE — Seneca Valley High School graduate and Penn State Behrend sophomore Sarah Blagg has been named to the 2016 National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-East Region Third Team.Blagg was the only Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference player to earn the honor and one of 364 players chosen to represent one of the eight NCAA regions.She was selected for an at-large position after leading the team at third base and catcher. Blagg paced the Lions in batting average (.395), hits (49), runs (37), RBI (32), home runs (3) and slugging percentage (.629).Blagg recently was named to the All-AMCC first team. She had 14 multiple-hit games, including an 11-game hit streak.

Knicks, Hornacek working on dealNEW YORK — The New York Knicks want Jeff Hornacek as their next coach.The team is working on a deal to hire Hornacek, a person with knowledge of the details told The Associated Press.President of Basketball Operations Phil Jackson has had discussions with the former Phoenix Suns coach and there is mutual interest, but they have not begun negotiations on a contract, the person said on condition of anonymity because details of the coaching search are private.

More allegations surrounding BaylorWACO, Texas — An examination of Waco police records over a five-year period found more allegations of violent incidents involving Baylor football players who were not charged, appeared to face little or no discipline from the team even though coaches and administrators knew about the allegations and that some documents were shielded from public view by officers, ESPN reported.
