EUGENE, Ore. — The NCAA is alleging Oregon violated the organization's regulations in the way it used recruiting services over the past four years.

The accusations were contained in two draft documents.

SLIPPERY ROCK — Mars senior mdfielder Crysta Ganter and Freeport senior defender Natalie DeFrancisis are among nine recruits announced Friday by Slippery Rock University women's soccer coach Noreen Herlihy.The Rock finished last fall at 16-5-2, ranked No. 14 in NCAA Division II and reaching the round of 16 in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in the program's history.Other recruits include midfielder Caitlin Binder of Neshannock, midfielder Cailin Conner of Aurora, Ohio, midfielder Allison Harbart of North Royalton, Ohio, goalkeeper Shannon Mahoney of Jefferson Station, N.Y., and defenders Zoe Olm of Phoenix, Ariz., Allison Stauffer of Williamsburg. Va., and Rebecca Veres of Canonsburg.

PITTSBURGH — Mars senior Elliot Tisdale has signed a tender sheet with the Junior A Jamestown Ironmen of the North American Hockey League for the 2012-13 season.Tisdale, a center, is playing for the Pittsburgh Viper Stars 18U AAA Tier I hockey team this season and has nine goals and 13 assists in 22 league games.

FREEPORT — Freeport's varsity football team had 14 players selected to the 2011-12 Pennsylvania Football News all-academic team.Classifications include gold for student-athletes with a grade point average between 3.8 and 4.0, silver for between 3.5 and 3.7, bronze between 3.0 and 3.4.Yellowjacket honorees include Alex Carson, Sean Carson, Jon Turner, Travis Hall, Brendan Lynch and Cameron Kelly in the gold class, Dalton Hubert, Brian Welsh and Josh Brestensky in the silver, Tony DeVivo, Dustin Koedel, Damon Smith, Alex Stivers and Nathan Rummell in the bronze.<B></B>
