Leonard E. "Red" Risinger, 76, of Parker died early Saturday morning at the Clarview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at Sligo after a brief illness.

Born in Karns City, June 17, 1931, he was the son of John and Nellie Jordan Risinger.

He was a Protestant.

A veteran of the Korean War, he served in the Army from Nov. 13, 1952, to Sept. 23, 1954, and was honorably discharged in 1954 with the rank of private first class. He was a member of the VFW Post 7073 of Parker.

Mr. Risinger was a retired employee of the former Glass Containers Corp. of Parker.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ben (Patty) Burris of Parker; two sons, Randy Risinger of Parker and David Risinger of Emlenton; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He also is survived by two brothers, Melvin Risinger Sr. of Parker and Norman Risinger of Karns City, and a number of nieces and nephews.

<B>RISINGER</B>— Friends of Leonard E. "Red" Risinger, who died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the <B>H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home</B>, Wayne Street, Parker. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
