Gerald Howard Schroth

Gerald Howard Schroth, 85, of Slippery Rock, formerly of Meridian, passed away at 12:22 p.m. June 18 at the Trinity Living Center.

He was born March 15, 1931, in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, the son of the late Howard Schroth and Frieda (Herrit) Schroth.

Gerald was a member of the Miller Lodge 272, the Syria Temple, the Luncheon Club and the NRA. He was also a member of St. Marks Lutheran Church.

He retired from Armco after 33 years, and he was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the Navy.

Surviving are his wife, Charlotte J. (Graff) Schroth, who he married April 27, 1957; three sons, Mark A. Schroth of Sandy Lake, Douglas D. Schroth of Ellwood City and Jay K. Schroth of Fenton, Mich.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

SCHROTH — A private viewing for Gerald Howard Schroth, who died Saturday, June 18, 2016, was Tuesday at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W.
