SRU running back Player of Week
SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University running back Chris D’Or has been named PSAC West Offensive Athlete of the Week in football.
Making only his second career start, D’or carried 14 times for 108 yards and a touchdown in SRU’s 35-14 victory at West Chester.
Butler grad Bryan headed for Pitt
PITTSBURGH — Butler graduate Nash Bryan, who made 45 mound appearances over the last three baseball seasons at Seton Hill University, has transferred to the University of Pittsburgh.
A right-hander, Bryan struck out 96 and walked 18 in 64.1 innings pitched at Seton Hill, sporting a 2.11 earned run average.
Pitt won 29 games last season and reached the semifinals of the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament. Bryan is one of 13 transfers joining the program.
Patterson named Runner of Week
SAINT VINCENT — Butler graduate Tim Patterson, a Saint Vincent College junior, has been named Presidents’ Athletic Conference Cross Country Runner of the Week.
Patterson won the Saint Vincent Invitational last Friday, topping the 128-runner field with a time of 26 minutes, 11.48 seconds.
