Shirl B. Felix

Shirl B. Felix, 72, of Eau Claire, passed away on Monday evening, May 24, 2021, surrounded by members of his family at his residence.

Born Jan. 17, 1949, in Harrisville, he was the son of the late John H. and Ruth Ferguson Felix.

He was Methodist by faith.

Shirl worked at Pullman Standard in Butler, and then became a career truck driver. He retired from his last employment with Savage Transportation.

He attended Moniteau High School.

He enjoyed working on automobiles and liked being called a “shade tree” mechanic.

Surviving are his wife, Arleene E. Burrows; his stepdaughter, Patricia Thompson of Virginia; his stepson, Earl “Bo” Burrows of Eau Claire; two brothers, Robert “Bob” Felix of Parker, and Ken Felix of Sharon; four sisters, Connie Wiley of Pardoe, Pa., Sandy Thornbury and Kathy Thornbury, both of Forestville, and Doris Walters of Mercer.; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Felix; and his stepchildren, Brenda Hicks, Sandra Felix, Beverly Burrows and Jacquelyn Ashbaugh.

FELIX — Per his request, there will be no public services for Shirl B. Felix, who died Monday, May 24, 2021.

He will be laid to rest at the convenience of the family at Bear Creek Cemetery at Petrolia.

Arrangements are under the direction of H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, Eau Claire.
