Holy Trinity Lutheran Church will host health screenings Oct. 28 at 2217 Chicora Road in Chicora, to give residents an affordable chance to learn about their risk for cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, diabetes and other chronic, serious conditions.

Screenings can check for plaque buildup in arteries related to risk for cardiovascular disease, cholesterol levels, risk of diabetes, kidney and thyroid function, and more, according to a news release from Life Line Screening Physicians.

Special package pricing for the screenings start at $159, but consultants will work with clients to create a package based on age and risk factors. Pre-registration is required to be screened, and appointments can be made by calling 877-237-1287, or online at www.lifelinescreening.com. Free parking is also available for the screenings.
