Sandra Fronabarger

Sandra Kay Fronabarger, 74, of Wickliffe, Ky., passed away March 13 in Arlington, Ky., in a fatal auto accident.

She was born Dec. 25, 1942, in rural Chicora, to Michael “Mike” and Florence Fair Erdos.

After her high school graduation, Sandra took correspondence courses with TWA and was later employed by TWA in Kansas City.

It was there that she met the love of her life, Robert “Bob” P. Fronabarger, originally from Oak Ridge, Mo. They were married Feb. 3, 1962, in Oak Ridge. Two children were born to their union. They had been married 52 years when Bob died Sept. 8, 2014.

Bob’s employment with the Department of Agriculture took the family to Sioux City, Iowa, where Sandra worked at a former manufacturing company. Upon purchasing Cairo Grain Inspection Agency in Cairo, Ill., the family moved to Wickliffe. Sandra still enjoyed working and managing the company.

Sandra was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in LaCenter, Ky., and served in various capacities. She was an avid reader and liked to work in her yard, but above all, she enjoyed spending time with her great-grandbabies.

Loving survivors include two children, Keith (Kelly) Fronabarger of Kevil, Ky., and Brandi Fronabarger of Paducah, Ky.; her granddaughter, Ashton (Matt) Cavanaugh and her children, Jessica and Jaxon, of Wickliffe; three siblings, Ken (Wilma) Texter, Rich (Diane) Erdos and Gloria (Jack) Jordan, all of the Butler area; and her brother-in-law, Randy Fronabarger (fiancée, Ruth Moneyhun) of Jackson, Mo.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Joyce Erdos.

FRONABERGER — Visitation for Sandra Kay Fronabarger, who died Monday, March 13, 2017, was conducted Wednesday at the McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral service took place Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jamie Lee officiating. Interment followed at the Old Goshen Cemetery near Oak Ridge.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Grace United Methodist Church; 325 W. Kentucky Drive; LaCenter, KY 42056.
