Richard R. McCormick, 69, of Butler died at 10:13 a.m. Saturday at Sunnyview Home.

Born June 6, 1938, in Butler, he was the son of the late Russell L. and Eva Viola McCormick.

He was a graduate of Butler High School and had served in the military.

Mr. McCormick was a construction foreman for years and had owned his own construction company, McCormick Builders, for 20 years.

He enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with his family.

Surviving are a daughter, Sheri McCormick of Butler; a son, Kenneth McCormick of Renfrew; a granddaughter, and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma J. McCormick, who died Sept. 17, 2007; a brother, John M. McCormick, and a sister, Marion I. Hankey.
