Connie Elizabeth Hankey, 60, of Butler passed away unexpectedly Saturday at her home.

She was born on Feb. 14, 1953, in Butler, the daughter of Peggy (Ramsey) Hankey and the late Kenneth E. Hankey, who died on Aug. 23, 2008.

Connie was a member of the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church and the Butler Elks 170, where she was a former chairperson. She was on the reunion committee for the Butler High School Class of 1971. She belonged to many different golf and bowling leagues, card clubs and Bunco clubs over the years, where she made many friends who were near and dear to her heart.

She had worked for Heckett Engineering, Wise Business Forms, Bacher Automotive and most recently for Butler Ambulance Service.

Connie loved to read and most of all, spend time with her family and friends.

Surviving are her mother, with whom she lived, Peggy Hankey of Butler; her sister, Christine Scott and her husband, William, of Butler; her two nieces, Jennifer Jones and her husband, Curtis, of Slippery Rock and Michelle Walker and her husband, Adam, of Butler; her great-niece, Kenna Jane Jones; her three great-nephews, Landon and Trenton Jones and Noah Walker; and her many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.

HANKEY — A memorial service to celebrate the live of Connie Elizabeth Hankey, who passed away Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler. Private interment in Calvary Cemetery.In lieu of flowers and to continue Connie's giving and caring nature, the family requests memorial donations be made to the charity of the donors choice in memory of Connie.Information also is available at www.youngfuneralhomes.com.
